You approach absolute strangers and when I approach woman, they are usually in my class and school club. What happens then is I get afraid to escalate because I don't want things to become weird afterwards (because we would still see one another). For example: I get number from hot chick in class. We text and stuff but when it means something, I get afraid she would reject me and things would be awkward knowing she knows I have interest in her.

Yeah, there's a very easy solution. Game chicks outside of school.

Now, assuming you can't do that, well, you could always get the number and build "friendships" with all these hot girls you're mentioning. You can build a good social circle with them.
The school semester only lasts a couple of months anyway, so by the end of it you could start escalating things more. The problem is that by taking too long to pull the trigger you could be placed in the friend zone, so it's a catch 22.

The third option could be not to give a shit. If things get awkward, well, deal with it. If you game them right, there shouldn't be much drama if things don't work, unless you start gaming more than one girl in the same classroom.

Make it easy for yourself and go out of your regular environment.
