I am a non-drinker. I have quite a few reasons for that:

1) I'm prone to gout
2) Never got into it when I was young for various reasons
3) One time when I was a freshman in college a drunk guy put a dent in my door, I don't want to be that guy and be a violent person. (I was a very violent person in middle school and have worked hard to suppress that side of myself).

The thing is, it's hard to relate to mainstream people in a world where having a good time generally means drinking. How do I relate to "bar people" as a teetotaler?

have you read any of the books yet? a lot of the mPUAs will say they don't have to drink. You have to make it seem like you are having fun without drinking.

If you follow what is posted around here, youll still be able to pick up on women. Try reading some books and then you can see what i mean. You dont have to drink or be drunk to pick up on women.

yeah, ^^ thats pretty much dead on, most PUA will even tell you not to drink when you go sarging anyway, you tend to forget your openers and stuff, especially when you're just getting started and don't know the routines like the back of your hand.

Yeah but let's say I do something like the 5 questions game and I win and she's gonna buy me a drink, isn't it a DLV to say something like "A virgin pina colada"?

I used to be a heavy drinker, and what i mean by that is i could drink a swimming pool's worth of liquor...

After reading The Game and deciding to become a PUA i have since stopped drinking with the exception of maybe 1 drink every now and again. Usually when i goto a bar i get a Seltzer water just so i have something.

Mystery for instance never drinks, at least he didnt in the book, i cant speak for him now altho id assume he still doesnt.

My friends lay into me pretty hard now when we goto a bar or a club because i use to be that drunken fool dancing like a retard and being goofy. Now i just tell em...

ME: "I dont have to drink to have fun."

ME: "I used to think being drunk made me more intresting, but now i realize i was drinking to make other people intresting."

ME: "Im having fun and i havnt had a drink, do YOU really have to be drnk to have fun?"

I've noticed they are realizeing now they cant pressure me into and some of them are even drinking less now.

Also as far as not drinking is concerned for most people its a DHV to be a non-drinker. If you do 5 questions or something and the wager is a drink, you can get whatever you want.

I personally would pick something like a soda/tea/water. If its free like water simply smile at her and tell her your a cheap date. Or say something like, "And you thought you could get me all boozed up and take advantage of me..."

Also work on a DHV story about why you dont drink. Do not relate it to religion (you didnt with us), create a story around the drunk guy denting the car, make it a story to which you were a direct part of (maybe calming him down). This way once she gets you the drink you have a routine to run if it comes up.

I used to drink WAAAAAY too much, now I drink 1-2 a night and fill in for the other bottles by talking to girls.

Anyway just talk and you'll relate to bar people. most are there to talk or girls.

You could easily conjure up a story about how your friend got a dui once and now you decided to always be the DD, because as a friend, you want to protect those around you.

would that not be a sign of protector of loved ones? I believe thats alpha male behavior.

As far as the wager for the 5 questions game, you know, it doesn't HAVE to be a drink. Make it more interesting, like she has to give you a passionate kiss. Who knows, maybe she'll end up losing on purpose at that point . . .
