I'm beginning to think they seriously are. I have met a couple girls who seem attracted to me. They usually approach me, in some instances will be the one to give me their number or ask for mine.

Then we don't text. Following some advice, I lead by being the first one to text them. These girls are ones I meet in class not bars so I don't start with anything too extreme, usually something along the lines "Hey, you free tonight?" or "Hi, what's up?".

The one girl that really set me off is this chick I met in a student club.

Here's what I texted:

ME - 6PM: Hey are you going home for the weekend?

HER - 7:30: Hi! No I'm not, what's up?? (:

ME - 10PM: Oh I was going to watch paranormal activity earlier but there were too many people

HER - 10:10PM Ohh scary!!!!! I'm too scared Ahahaha what r u up to now?

ME - 10:30PM Just hanging out with my friend, what about you?

NO RESPONSE

Sigh, she seemed somewhat promising too. Guess it's time to move on to the next one.

Edit: I know I probably should have went cocky funny but I was drinking with my friend so I wasn't really in my gaming mood.

First you wait two and a half hours to tell her what's up and then you wait 20 minutes again and then you are surprised she doesn't text back after 10:30pm.

You set the stage here and then you ask if she's retarded. I was inclined to answer "yes" to your post before reading it, but afterwards I reconsidered.

I had the same exact response as cointoss.

Without reading your post, my answer was going to be 'absolutely'.

Then I see what transpired and she is probably thinking WTF.

I say this because I have done this recently as well. Hindsight is 20/20.

Women want results when you communicate with them in this fashion. They like flirty texting to a point (some of them anyway - may have my own thread on this later), but they also want results. What I mean by this is she wanted an outcome, i.e. you invite her over when she says something as obvious as 'Hi! No I'm not, what's up?? (: '

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention that. That's true as well. Women don't get any more obvious than this. She wanted you to invite her and then you come back half a day later with some lame story about paranormal activity (kind of funny but also kind of try-hard imo) and she's all bubbly and being all like "cool, so you gonna make a move now then or what?" (between the lines) and you go "yeah I'm hanging out with my friend kthxbye". Depending on how forgiving she is you'll get a second chance to your obvious dual faux pas or she may just feel like you're either not interested or dense.

I applaud your self-awareness. You wouldn't have been a chode if you ended that last text with something like "You wanna hang out tomorrow?" instead of "what about you?". She's not texting to find out how her day was

don't worry about it man. This is what you do - hit her up again in a little bit (not too soon), and have a fun plan ready, and execute that shit with surgical precision.

btw, I've seen the whole issue of alcohol all over this forum. It is a personal thing, but for me, when I'm drunk is no time to be handling business with the ladies unless it's simple shit like telling them 'come over now'. I've concluded girls prefer you to be sharp when you deal with them.
