So movies say that girls are into the married guy, is that just in the movies or is it true? Does the ring say stability or does it say jerk?[/img]

it says taken, and when you try to convince her your not married shell wonder why you lied to her, and what you did to your "wife" to make you divorce her - the only way this could be good is a 1 night stand youll nvr see her again in ur life, if your doing ANYTHING other than that you will be screwed (not in the good way :D)

Even if it's for a one night stand, many women will resist to the whole idea of messing around with married man. Now some will, but I feel he's going to miss so many sets unnecessarily.

As a rule of thumb, whatever Adam Sandler teaches me in one of his crappy movies I DONT try lol.

Well girls don't think that way.
A girl sees a wedding ring and she sees that that some other woman was impressed enough that she devoted her life to be with him. That's social proof, although I wouldn't use it personally.

Field test it. I doubt it would work because you are lying and if she finds out the truth you have probably lost the set, but what do I know I have never done it. (Don't have a desire to either.) She may be relieved to find you are open for a relationship, and she's not a homewrecker. If none of you have tested it then this is all theory and we will never truthfully figure it out, just sit here and argue about it. Solution: go out there and try this for yourself, or if someone has experience then speak up.

i have single friends who work in sales, and they choose to wear a wedding band because according to "the experts" it does "lend credibility". these guys swear by it. i wonder if the same holds true for women. i'm so idiotic about it, in the past i never even look to see if a woman has a ring on.
