Hi,

Few days ago i tried to get a lift home from the hitchhiking stop around my military base, at this point i stood up and just said confidently "Does anyone know when this minibus over there is going?". This short spontanious sentence (was like around 20 people in that stop) made everyone start speaking... here is where it get interesting, I've noticed that the HBs standing there were just creating frequent eye (IOI) contacts since i've asked my question... at this point I've realized that this situation made me the AMOG of this group, and I've realized that opening groups can be easier because speaking confidently to a group of people is a free DHV...

now my questions are...

1) How long does it avaragely take to isolate a HB from her group?

2) Is opening groups really easier because of that free DHV (even though it's harder on the aspect of AA)?

Question 1) It all depends. Sometimes it's a couple of minutes, sometimes it's more. Remember this is social interactions we're talking about, so there's no specifics when it comes to time and outcomes. In any case, it shouldn't take you more than 5-10 games to isolate if your approach was good, and the group accepts you.

Question 2) Opening a group can show a lot of confidence, so it can definitely help you gain a couple of points. But also consider that the important part is not opening, but how you follow up .

Yes I was but everyone else was too...

Thinking about it, if I was the only one, this is a DHV again... maybe going out with military uniform is another free DHV lol... though I dont think its smart to go out with uniform without a reason...

1) It take about as long as it takes you to make up your mind.

2) From my personal experience when you command an audience and speak infront of alot of people at once, it shows high confidence and high value. She will stare you down while her eyes glaze over.
