Evaluate how much she means to you as a friend in case you get to switch her into a lover.
You should keep in mind that if you take this to the next level and things don't work (for whatever reason) not only you could lose a fuck-buddy/girlfriend, but also a friend.
This is a decision you have to make. I've had sex with "friends" before, but things were set from the get-go that it'd only be for sex. I knew I was taking my chances, but didn't really care. In the end, it worked out for me, but I always knew that it could go either way.
