So I go to parties a lot more than clubs and bars... and you guys have a lot more experience than me... What are some good openers you guys use at parties that have good results?

Also, I am having trouble thinking of a DHV, any suggestions?

I'm 18, so I go to more parties than clubs and bars as well. I use the same exact openers that people use in clubs/bars, and most openers may be used in almost any situation- at the mall, on the street, in the bar/club, and at a party. Look up some good openers, there's one good collection that is stickied somewhere, and use those. A good opener shouldn't limit you to one situation; if that was the case you would seldom get to use it! My personal favorites are, "Who lies more", "Is kissing cheating" and "Which movie is better, Superbad or Knocked Up". They are all opinion openers that spur conversation, and I have a backround story to go with all of these that DHV in one way or another.

I also suggest that you find some good openers, text them to yourself so if you are at a party and your mind goes blank, you just "check" you phone. That way if a conversation is dying, you can bring it back to life with new material. As for DHV stories, just pick some openers, sit down, and write some true, semi-true, or completely fake stories to go with them. Make sure to include some key attraction switches- leader of men, pre-selected, protector of loved ones, etc. I've found that using other people's stories are incongruent with my personality, and women can spot this very easily. Just include some things in your stories that sound like you. For example, if you are good at certain sports, mention them in your stories. That way your story sounds more convincing because you won't be stumbling through the entire thing and you won't have to remember as much, because some of it is already true. The more you tell the story, the better it will sound so just practice them.

same deal 19 but i split my time between bars and frat parties. difference is bars are alot easier. women there basically wanna meet sumone, their defenses r down and theyre slightly out of their normal circle.

for a frat party i dont like to use material for fear of it having been used already. thing is alot of college students are in the game or at least know about it. out of the opinion openers id say use the movie one. its adaptable and believable. also the texting routine he mentioned is golden, ive excused myself using a similar technique where i get a call, kind of like a bail for a bad date, and come back apologizing.

frat parties i go in with the idea that girls i meet i want to be friends with and by showing that im a fun guy(social proof) with a genuine personality and good values(DHV), a portion of them naturally gravitate while others dont. so go in like youre meeting sumone new that you were just introduced to, fact is everybody knows everyone.
