I got out of a little bit over a 2 1/2 year relationship about 3 months ago and this thing is still eating away at my game. Things just fell apart between us and got really routine.

Now she's dating an overweight guy with a really bad haircut who she tells me she has decided to not have sex with, but still calls and texts me daily (I think this is a post break up comfort relationship).

I have been with quite a few girls since her. K-closed a few, f-closed two. Anyway, I still can't seem to get this girl out of my head, and its killing my desire to want to do anything (work, go out, etc.).

What can I do to get over this girl? Shes coming back into town for the weekend for a football game and to see some friends and I know I'm going to see her. I would tell her I don't want to talk to her, but don't see that being a good approach as I wouldn't mind dating the girl again. I don't see us getting back together right away as things got a little messy during the breakup.

What should I do in this situation, and how the hell do I get over this onitis? This is killing my game big time!

The game, pick up, pua whatever you want to call it is not a cure all for every situation and question everyone has known to man..

You cared about someone a great deal and you lost them, so it is natural to miss them, regret losing them and want to be with them.....only time is going to be able to get her off of your mind for the most part..i say the most part because if you dont get back together maybe a small piece of her will always stay with you..

Yes, this is a common problem that most people face at some point! As the previous poster said, there is no easy way to just move on after loving someone. I'll offer you some encouraging ideas, as well as advice.

You broke up for a reason. Either she didn't love you, you didn't love her, or you both were incompatible for one reason or another. From a logical standpoint (us men like to think this way), you are better off emotionally without the daily heartbreak and anxiety.

Friends. Spending a lot of time with friends is truly an effective remedy to distract you, and help you move on from the relationship.

My biggest advice (which will certainly be the most difficult to follow) is to change the way you see relationships overall. The point of your existence is not to be in a relationship. You are not here to serve a relationship, the relationship is here to serve you! Always be up front with a girl very early on in the relationship about what it is you want, so that the relationship isn't built on shaky ground. Too often people live lies and the relationship was doomed from the start. Personally, I'm never worried that a girl will leave me, or that she'll fall in love with someone else, because I'm content with who I am, I know a lot of girls want to be with a guy like me, and I will only settle for someone who consistently makes me happy! No, I'm not tooting my own horn, what I'm saying is, this is the attitude of anyone in a happy relationship. Relationships must be built on security and trust. If you let fear guide any of your actions, then you will undoubtedly be set on a course for disaster.

If you still love the person but know you can't be with them, distance yourself from them until you have truly moved on. "Ex Sex" can be fantastic, but only if you are secure enough to be able to tell her beforehand that you are not looking for another relationship. Good luck my man!
