Jealousy is a short term strategy. If you plan on playing that game long term, you are setting yourself for a very bad relationship. And don't forget, she can play that game too.
As for flaky girls, I have a 1 flake you're out rule. If the girl has what sounds like a genuine and sincere excuse AND apology, I will make an exception. Otherwise, it's freeze out time. If she contacts me to try to get together again, I make it someplace convenient to me, like a bar down the block.
There are too many women out there to waste time on the flakes. Some are just not interested enough, some will set up multiple dates and go on the one that interests her most, some are just amazingly disorganized and always late. I have no interest in any of these women. My time is valuable. Yours is too.
Look, I have a friend, who is natural, and he is already 5 month's in a relationship, and I think due mostly to jealousy. He just likes talking to girls, and when she hears about other girl, she knows that he is a keeper, he is a guy of value..
But, he is also romantic, and he know how to treat his gf (he is like the prefect bf).
Look, you are right. Dr. Spargenator needs to show that he is alpha, and that if she can't find time for him, well he can't find time for her.
By calling her to a sushi bar (an example of interesting place she has never been) he is actually saying, I already planned to go there, and if you want you can join me. (she is not the prize, she is just going to a interesting place with a interesting guy)
I think of this girl as playette, and she likes the attention of the guys, so if Dr.Spargenator takes him from her, and other guys just continue coming to her, Dr.Spargenator will be the prize, she will want him.
