So, I just started this new University. I don't know anybody!

How do I start, and continue a conversation with somebody?

There's this girl that's in my Philosophy class that sits right beside me. After class, she goes in the main lobby (filled with a bunch of couches and desks and chairs and stuff, because of a lack of a library) by herself for about an hour or so before heading off to another class. We know each others names and everything and occasionally make comments to each other during class.

I'm not looking for a relationship or anything. Just a friend.

What do I do about this?

Also, I've been noticing that not a lot of posts get answered on this board. Is there another place where I could go to get more responses?

Tell her to come with you after class to discuss that thing you were talking about earlier. That thing you found interesting. You've only got an hour.

And then tell her to give you her number so you can call her over the weekend.

The only thing we comment about about is how the class is dull, and runs too long.

I need to find out what she likes, and what she doesn't like. Her interests, her hobbies, and so forth.

The only 2 ways I can see this happening is by sitting with her until her class starts, or asking her friends.

Suggestions?
