What do you guys think about walking up to a girl, say at the beach or mall and going direct? I used to do this when I was about 16 and found it was usually about 60% successful. I haven't gone direct once since I started pick up and I'm thinkin I may have a go at it. Not to be cocky or whatever but I am fairly confident and am not bad looking.

When I was younger I used to walk up and say things like "hi, sorry to be forward but I think you are really pretty and was wondering if I could have your number?"

A bit about pick up I will do something more like one of Adam Lyons approaches... Any tips before I go out there?

I always go direct.

It's much better than most indirect openers, it's a matter of pulling it off. My openers are half direct and half indirect cause I'm not really sure if I'm attracted to a girl at first and don't always have anything to express, but direct game is much more fun and it DOES work.

But I've noticed that you need better looks for better success

Well I feel like I get alot of proximity!
I have higher approach anxiety during the day and higher again going direct!
Someone wanna share some success tips or stories?
And what sort of thing do you say?
I'm thinking of something along the lines of "hey my friends and I are living life without regrets SPAM and I would have kicked myself later on if I didn't come up and tell you I think (insert compliment here)"

I prefer a "hey, *some observation*" or "hey, I just couldn't walk off without saying hi", then girl's comeback, then joke. Afterwards I explain why I'm there, which becomes an interesting story and story is followed by me questioning her, mocking her, etc.
