Hi all, quick intro & some questions...

I was married/with a girl for about 8 years and I've been back on the scene for almost 2 years now, and I've had some fun/luck with girls but never been able to chat up women as such.

I started reading 'The Game' about 2 weeks ago and it's changed my life already - I can't believe how much easier this stuff makes talking to & attracting women!

I'm quite confident in my job and around people I know, but AA has always been awful - to the point I've almost never approached a women. I've relied on sheer luck, and the dance floor (not that I can dance anyway) and the fact that although I'm not great looking I'm some girls 'types' and I've done ok with the odd girl talking to me/being introduced through friends etc - but realised I could do far better. Just following some of the eye contact/smiling rules and having an opener or two has opened up the possiblities; my AA is diminishing quickly and I've realised I've got a great grin and 'baby blues' so have been out practising!

I tried a few tentative approaches in the cafeteria and at a bar and didn't really get very far (hadn't been reading the book long and still wasn't sure how to follow some things up/nervous about 'negging' a girl), but was pleased with myself for trying - my first proper 'sarge' and successes came a few days ago on a few days away in Spain.

I won't bore you with all the details but I did really well with a cocktail waitress - no need for an opener as such as she approached us to serve us - but was able to try a 'cocky funny' routine and pull off a few negs; got a few IOIs and when she asked what I did I told her I was a fighter pilot which got a laugh... figured I'd try the ESP test - she sussed too quickly about 1-4 being too easy to guess chance wise but I got her with the 1-10 (she chose 7, LOL) and she was really impressed... anyway, turned out she was married and it was getting tricky and we moved on elsewhere, but ended up coming back later and she was very attentive, punching me on the arm and all sorts. I'd ended up sitting next to a two set and tried the ESP opener, worked brilliant and spent a long time just fluffing this girl and managed to number close by saying I had to move on and we should stay in touch (or something
like that, I'd had too many cocktails by then) and handed her my phone to type her number in - I like that method, worked a treat. Exchanged a few texts later and found out she was only 18 - I'm 33 & bald - cool

My confidence was soaring (plus I'd had a few more cocktails) by this point and I chatted to another girl and ran the ESP routine with exactly the same correct results, fluffed, number closed with the same hand her the phone method, then asked for a kiss on the cheek. then the other, then I though f**k it, and as she swung her head, kissed her on the lips. She paused so I went for a full snog for a few seconds but she pulled away breathlessly and said 'bloody hell you kiss rather quickly' and I just laughed and said something along the lines off 'I like kissing' and went for another quick snog, but realised I was fairly wasted (oops) by this point so left before I screwed it up!!

Anyway, the next day I felt really confident so went for lunch to the Italian restaurant I'd been to with my friends the day before and I'd made some good eye contact & smiles with the two hot waitresses (a HB9 and a HB8 I reckon). I suddenly went a little nervous and didn't use any openers when I ordered my drink but then figured I should just go for it and I asked the HB9 where she was from - Hungary, apparently. Anyway, I chatted with her for a few minutes then let her go, when she came back later I told her to speak to me in Hungarian. She was a bit
baffled at first then laughed and said something, I did a little fluffing etc, she then told me she was leaving tomorrow to go back to Uni... did a bit more talking but she kept looking up and said she had to go as her boss was giving her funny looks!

Anyway, to cut a long story short, she then had to leave and rushed off quick and smiled a quick bye and she was gone - damn.

So, first question - how do you deal with chatting up girls who are at work and their bosses are looking?

Then the HB8 started serving me and I started talking to her - she was actually easier to talk to, far better English. I didn't really want a dessert but wanted an excuse to chat longer and - hell - they had tiramasu! - so did so but then it started getting really busy and couldn't talk to her except to ask for the bill... so in the end I said:

*smiling* "The bill please..." *big grin* "... and your phone number"

Couldn't believe I'd said it - I'm not the sort of guy that can say that - so was pleased with myself. She gave me a really big grin back and walked off looking a little confused. She then took AGES to bring me the bill; walked by my table loads of times, finally bought me the bill... with a big smile....

But no number.

I realise I'd probably asked for her number too quick; I hadn't built up enough trust yet.

So, second question, should I have asked, what else could I have done?

Still pleased though that I had the balls to ask at least - and I wasn't slapped!!
