At the restaurant, we're talking and she tells me she thinks I'm not confident enough. That I'm a "good looking kid" and shouldnt need a dating site. This was completely unsolicited. Kind of odd. I can't remember what I said. I think I just contemplated it and was like you may be right or something.
At this point I suggested we go back to my place to continue the conversation. She hesitated for like a sec then agreed and while walking back we're being playful in a sense like I remember she was punching me and I was holding her like wrestling kind of and we were laughing. We go upstairs, grab some beers she likes my place. I play some music and botch the night by repeatedly trying to get her to dance. Eventually i give up and sit down. We talk for a few minutes I think and for some reason she decides to bolt mid beer. Bye..no hug, nothing, b lines for the door and leaves.
I escalated kino over the date in the sense that I tried to be more and more touchy. I tried putting my arm around her, push her or whatever, give her high fives, but it never felt like she was into it for some reason. So I'd do it for a bit and back off to not be too clingy. She must have had a good time though or she wouldnt have blown off her show and she wouldnt have come back to my place.
Couple of questions:
-During the date, she added me on FB. Two days later (I haven't texted her or anything) she blocks me. I wanted to ask her out for drinks this week, should I still text her or just wait it out now. I mean the date was epicly long and I had a good time. I can't imagineshe'd skip her favorite show b/c she felt obligated.
-I'm assuming the confidence remark could be related to a million things, but maybe body language and kino in particular? I mean I did not kiss her. Primarily though, because she did not seem into the kino. Putting my arm around wasn't awkward, but it wasnt a 2 way deal.
Okay, those highlighted things are the key points.
First, the way you handled her opinion was pathetic. Sure, I don't care if you're Tom Cruise, but to just agree with her and NO, it was not a compliment either, was a dumb move. You could've put her in her place by saying, "I'll make my own decisions about what I need and what I do not." Saying that with a correct perfunctory smile and a calm voice will tell her that you are someone who is in control of his life and decisions and she won't pass judgements on that.
So, you got her home? Well done. Now, what was the whole insistence to play "Dance Monkey Dance" with her is what I'll never understand. Just because dancing can lead to easy kino doesn't mean you HAVE to do it every single time.
Also, the whole trying to escalate physical contact is just lame. The men who are good with women will tell you, that trying is failure, you just do it or you do not. It should flow naturally through your actions. If you feel as if you're trying, she will too. It will seem forced and that's just awkward and a turn off.
Now, that whole part of missing her TV show episode? Think of it as her way out, if things are that well. Similar to, "I had to pick up my friend from the airport tonight." It's just an excuse.
Well, she just wasn't into you. And the whole block on facebook, means that she doesn't want to hear from you again. There. I said it.
And listen to Mack. The Funny Quotient aside, his words always make sense.
