I've been dumped by girls who seemed to like me to begin with. My ex cheated on me by having a full-on relationship with another guy, till I caught her out and we broke up. I really don't want it to happen again; I want to keep a girl interested!

I don't think I'm bad looking, but it's rare that a girl gives me a second glance, and I don't know why. I feel really good because this particular girl seems to like me, and I don't want to screw it up. I'm trying my best to make her attracted to me, but this isn't a practice run that I can afford to screw up - I really like this girl, she's stunningly beautiful, really smart, and seems interested in me. I don't want to be a jerk, or put her off by something dumb like being tight fisted.

I will try not to give her too much at once, will try to make her work for it a bit, but it's difficult when I really like her - I just want to give her the world on a plate :)

Ok.... I have read through all of the replies and noticed that not one of them is from a female. I am a female with an amazing boyfriend (who is a PUA). My boyfriend landed me 2 years ago due to his classic PUA moves (unbeknownset to me at the time - I have since read up on PUA as I find it fascinating).

Sambuca, I really would like to help you and although I obviously cannot speak for all girls, I can speak for myself. Listen to what every single guy has written on here!! It is ALL true! (PS you guys are clearly true PUAs and know your women- nice!)

I have had guys try and pick me up before in really AFC ways and they have never gotten ANYWHERE!.

I met this one guy who I was friends with and went out for (what I thought was) friendly dinner and drinks. However, when we were out, he wouldn't let me pay for anything (first mistake - I HATE guys feeling like they own me or something which is how I feel when someone pays for me ALL THE TIME! Once in a relationship, I will definitely share the costs - he will pay one time and I will pay another or we will go halvsies) As we were walking back to my car, this guy decided to buy me a rose from a florist we walked past and handed it to me and then told me he loved me. I'm not saying this is what you're doing to do but it freaked me out SO bad!! Why the hell did he buy me a rose when we were nothing????? My boyfriend of 2 yearsa doesnt even buy me flowers and I was shocked when he bought me chocolates for valentines day a year after going out!!

So yeh, by all means, you can buy the girl presents and show her you care for her but only once you have her!!

My (PUA) boyfriend (who liked me for a whole year before we started dating) didnt buy me anything when we first started going out or before this. He made me constantly work for his affecton and always kept an air of mystery about himself. This drove me crazy and kept me wanting to see him and try and get more of his life story out of him! Girls (well me anyway!) get bored extremely easily. I have a male friend who can't believe that I have been with the current boyfriend for 2 years because before him, I was such a fickle player. I would get sick of guys after (a maximum) 3 months, usually less. Almost always before I had even slept with the guy.

Anyway this is just my opinion - hope it helps!!

WOMEN WANT YOU TO BE A JERK! It means you're confident and cocky. I'm always going to think that guy is nice and thank him for chocolates if I get them for no reason, but I'm never gonna lust over that type of guy.

One time I dated this guy who was a complete doormat, he would pay for everything, he would always open my car door, he would do anything for me that I asked. If I had asked him to put his jacket down in a puddle so I wouldn't have gotten my shoes wet he would have. Did I want to date him? No because he was a pushover, but did I date him cause he was "nice" and I felt bad/pity for him and his situation? Yes. Did I lose any sort of interest and respect for him pretty fast? Of course. He never gave me anything to respect in the first place.

God if you send a woman chocolates it's a sign of weakness, noobness and desperation. Why don't you just leave your heart for her out on her front porch so she can step all over it? Cause that's the direction you're heading REGARDLESS of what she says. She's just dating you cause she thinks you're nice, and she feels bad for you and knows she can exploit that so you will buy her things. So even if she doesn't have a good time she doesn't have to pay and she will get attention. You can't buy her respect you make her earn it the hard way! From a woman btw.

Argh, I'm so annoyed by this that I have to comment again!

Oh btw I agree with Girlfriendofapua, ONLY BUY CHOCOLATES AFTER YOU ARE IN A RELATIONSHIP otherwise you look like a creepy stalker!

When a man buys a woman chocolate like that she will think he's weak and will date him because she knows she won't have to pay and she will think she's doing this great favour to him because he's clearly desperate. Grow a set of balls man!
