Well, if she already wants you, it's no problem. If you're lying in bed with her, it's really no problem. It's not like she will say "STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING, YOU ARE THE WORST I'VE EVER BEEN WITH!".. But I would tell her, and if you are OK with it she will be too.

It isn't a huge deal, that's the thing. Everyone was a virgin once--that's just the way it is. And then you have sex and gradually get more experienced--that's also just the way it is.

I've never understood the view of virginity either as a badge of honour or a badge of shame--it just is. To quote Inara (from Serenity, a sci-fi show), "It's not embarrassing to be a virgin. It's simply one state of being."

It's only a big deal if you make it one. (A brief note--this is a truism that tends to apply to most issues in relationships as well. I'm not saying that there aren't actual dealbreakers and problems that need addressing, but that many of the littler things are things that you and/or your partner choose to make a big deal over.)

I disagree that you need to be upfront about this. A girl is going to wonder why at 20 years old you are still a virgin, and it is going to be a DLV. I say just avoid answering the question if it comes along. Be cocky funny, or just tell her it's none ofher business. Don't admit to being a virgin, most girls will not be into that even though they say they like it (they say they like nice guys too, we know it's bullshit).
