Thank you guys, especially Finesse for the input. I have related this to my friend ,but learnt a lot for myself too.
In the past i have certainly become needy and let things slide. Always try to avoid that now and make time together more energetic and varied.

Finesse, you talk about the sex as being important. I agree, and i think it is a good indicator of the state of the relationship (especially after the 1st year). What do you suggest to keep the vibe, passion and fire going there as i have been here myself before and just couldn't figure it out.

Now, it helps tremendously, if you have passion for something/s in life. It helps tremendously if you can indulge yourself in things from time to time to keep yor life interesting... for YOUR SAKE. Okay, while this WILL make you more attractive to her as you have passion, direction, ladida, it also helps keep YOU interested.

Finesse, one more thing. My ex-girlfriend and i had a good relationship in a lot of ways, but after a while she seemed to want to lock me down. When we met i was in a band and im guessing that passion for something else translated to attraction. However after a while this is what broke us up. She just HATED me having another passion in life. Tricky.

Variety.

Mix it up. Don't stick to doing the same things. Just build tension anywere, randomly. focus more on building the anticipation, rather than just having/doing sex. The energy and tension you build to add to the anticipation before will be what keeps it 'alive'.

Perhaps you ended up spending more time on it, or other things fizzled. Perhaps she didn't feel enough passion from you for the relationship. Could be loads of reasons. Have you asked her what broke you up?
