Of course looks help, but if you can engage with someone and builf rapport, you have an opportunity to stack and take things to the next level. I have seen it with my own eyes, guys that make me look silly in field, but not that great looking.

If you watch "The Pick-up Artist" Mystery's show which was on VH1, seasons 1 and 2, in the field tests he gives to students, he often goes in after to show them how to do things, and succeeds, along with some of his not so good looking students picking up women.
