its hard to say, back in my AFC days it was not uncommon to see messages that where emotional. Girls that where known would say something about it, but later it was discovered that many of them simply seen me as a friend.

make sure you do not come off as a needy guy thats not in control of his emotions. If it appears this way, girls may worry about you out of sympathy, not compassion.

Never to say this is the case in this situation. Her desire to message you to check up, may be out of compassion, however seeing that its been 2 months since she has initiated a conversation the jury is still out.

the fact that, and this is an assumption on my part, you have initiated every single dialog between the two of you. you may, and with no certainty, saying again may have been so far slammed into the needy friend zone that only time away and a drastic reappearance will change that. Allowing time to erase all those negative ideas of you, and coming back more confident so the positive ideas take over.
