Problem with texting and online conversation is it gets boring fast when you and her are not "good" friends, conversations won't go as natural as with her or your best friend.... my advice is to focus on making her laugh or having her feel another emotion other then the plain yes and no.

Girls who are 17 get so many guys from tinder, facebook, random numbers chats full of what do you do for work, you play sports etc questions.... rather send her a dog dressed as a sheep with a funny line asking her to chill with you this friday at 8....

In real life its easier and there you can talk more about regular topics but also dont forget to make her laugh in the conversation or things will get boring... so instead of asking all these questions also make statements.
