I should have clarified, this is not in NYC. She is from outside the country, and was living in NYC on an extended holiday of sorts. She came to my state in the southwest ostensibly to visit one of her female friends in a nearby city, and came to visit me as well after she saw her friend for a week. I live in a suburb outside the state capital, not exactly a hot destination.

The expectation beforehand on text was that she would stay for the 4 day long weekend, go back to her friend in the other city, then come stay with me for another week. But she was bored in that other city and told me in person she didn't plan on going back. So her schedule was a bit up in the air, she didn't have a solid return date.
