Haven't read most of the replies, but I went out alone on Thursday. The first thing I did was go to the smoker's area (in Vienna you can smoke in a separate room inside) and went up to a DUDE and asked for a cigarette. Was really polite and he said yes, and then I focused on chatting HIM up, so I have a person I can always go back to. I talked and talked and talked and turned out he was there alone as well, just having a drink. Anyway we made friends, and then I steered the conversation to girls, asking him if he ever does something like that, approaching chicks. Are chicks hot in Austria, etc. Always a good topic with guys since they like talking about chicks as you might know.

Boom, I said let's try it out. I never made clear I do this often, just came from a frame of...let's see what happens haha.

He was a super chode, but it allowed me to go around the place and approach without being judged and also return to someone. During my conversation with him, 3 Irish guys started talking to us since I said Irish people were the friendliest people I have ever met. I made friends with them as well. Boom I had a social circle going on. After that it was just walk around the bar and approach and approach and approach. Super friendly, super fun, smiling ALL the time, being completely non-threatening, and allowing my subcommunications to do the magic with the girls.

When you are alone and when you are with a wing, be SUPER friendly to everyone, have a huge smile, be really enthusiastic about everything, and things will turn out FINE.
