I didn't threaten her with an official formal complaint as that would have been slightly cuntish on my behalf instead of sorting the issue out myself. As I was speaking she looked kind of shocked. I did feel sorry for her but I stood by what I said and also as expected she said that I know it was a joke. I disagree with abuse disguised as joking and singling people out. I think she was shocked because she has never been told before. I just think she was trying to fit in as she saw myself and my two work colleagues in Group B laughing and taking the piss out of each other. She must have thought it was ok and tried to fit in but she crossed a boundary but I'm glad it was sorted in a professional manner (from my part anyway) I'm just waiting either for her to avoid me completely or there to be some sort of office back lash (probably reading to much in to it)
Thank you all for your feedback.
Much appreciated.

where I work we all give each other shit. If someone is seriously getting on my nerves, I just tell them if they don't have enough work to do I can send some their way.
If a gal went out of her way that much to mess with me, I would say listen skeezer, I'm not into you...i have a gf.... Please go find somebody else to flirt with.

I walked in the office and the girls in the office gave me a cold shoulder and when I said 'morning' they gave me the silent ignore him SPAM. As expected a backlash has begun. Childish behaviour is rife in the work place and is very annoying. Her line manager asked my line manager what had happened as she was upset. He said it should have spoken to her line manager first. That's bullshit IMO the right way is if you can't resolve it your self through mutual agreement then you resolve it through management.
I don't care it's either being continue being disrespected or hated. I much rather be hated! Assholes!

We British tend to banter in the workplace more than any other country and you are often seen as weird if you don't take part.
Options:
1) Take her to one side, away from your colleagues and tell her directly that she needs to stop.
2) Throw each insult back at her with DHV sarcasm. "Don't you think it's pretty sad that you insult me just to get cheap laughs? I know you fancy the pants off me, but there's no need to flirt with me so openly. I wouldnt touch you with a bargepole so you're just embarrassing yourself. "
3) Record her insults with a dictaphone and show them to your manager. This is risky because it might backfire when the manager tells you to get a backbone.
4) if all else fails get a new job.
