Sunbathing in particular I've only been approach twice, and both times I was with a couple friends — I've never been approached alone. (However, I have seen guys try to approach me alone, kind of hover around looking at me, then walk away really awkwardly lol.) Both times the guys painfully crashed and burned, mainly due to my really protective, kinda bitchy (but I love her) friend, Lindsey, who gets hit on all the time. Both experiences were super bad and not because the guy said/did anything wrong, but just because he had approached. It was like enemy territory immediately, which is why I'm so confused right now lol. I'm always really sweet and polite with anyone that approaches me, but I totally felt weird about being approached like all my friends. Super out of our comfort zone because of the fact that we're laying down wearing like nothing and it'd be hard to get on that level unless you were already accepted. Y'know?

haha yea there are whole forums dedicated on how to handle the Lindsey's of the world. Lindsey seems to be the "Mother Hen" of the group; protector of the chics aka the CB lol, is that right?

If she gets hit on all the time I can totally see why she would have that attitude. To me, its actually more selective than bitchy ("your game has to be really tight to get into my circle" attitude) Thats kinda good for you, cos you know the guy that can effectively deal with her personality and eventually win her over is a strong confident male thats comfortable in his own skin.

Seems like the other guys werent or were just unprepared. If the guys cant handle a little static, how attractive is that anyways right? My take is to be-friend the CB as fast as you can; if Lindsey accepts the guy, thats money. I find it fascinating that guys dont hit on girls sunbathing wearing alomst nothing btw. Makes me wanna move to Santa Monica lol

One of the best things about forums like these is that it takes the guys that are just like the ones that "crash and burned" and helps them understand what went wrong, to hopefully land a hot sunbathing beauty.

There are so many ways - My go-to method is the direct approach. The guy could directly ask her, with a fliting/ confident tone. "Lindsey, are you cockblocking me??" Whatever the answer is, make sure you have a good transition routine, theres a lot of good transition stuff out there. Plus this one generally leads to some witty banter that eventually gets the group involved.

I'd say do a search around the forums since there are guys out there with some really interesting takes on this.

I've approached a fair ammount of girls at the beach, some that have been sunbathing, reading, listening to music and a few that have been asleep. I find the key thing to bare in mind is to address the awkardness straight away and be honest to why you've approached her, obviously using some common sense. I want to fuck you is not a smart way to go.

For me, I sit down beside the girl and immediatly say 'Hi'. If I were to sit down and not say anything, reality is, things would be more awkard than if I was to say something. I tell her my reasons for sitting next to by her letting her know my intentions. What follows next varies on what I'm feeling at that given moment. If I genuinely stopped in my tracks when I saw her, I will let her know. If I'm bored and she looked like fun, I will tell her. You get the idea.

For me the worst that can happen with a girl is we become friends, which is always a positive. If she is not attracted to you, exchange contact details on the basis that she can set you up with her friends. You'll be surprised how often this will work in your favour.

lol very easy way to approach is have a camera with you and ask her to take a picture of you. 1 2 3 boom it's done. Done it plenty of times, works wonder picked up many chicks like that at the beach. Great way to start a conversation.

Do you ever complain about the quality of the picture, and get them to retake the photo? Also, what kind of pose do you do - for example, funny or normal?
