I've done this too. I left a business card on a girls windscreen. she came into my office and we went on a date.

i also gave a business card to a girl i met in a petrol station who also called me...but then i am pretty hot... :P

So far she has not sent me a text.

Also it is clear that there is no hard and fast rules about whether to give your number or not. Some say you should. some say you shouldn't.

I'm thinking this all depends on the girl and what's going on in her head. myself i've taken numerous numbers from girls and never called them mostly because i didnt feel i fancied them enough and it was more of an ego trip than anything. harsh i know but i have to be honest.
