Little late to the show here, but I can help you with gaining muscle.

First of all, you're a hard-gainer. What that means is that you have a fast metabolism and burn off all the excess calories that would normally be needed to add lean body weight (i.e. muscle).

What you need to do is starting taking a mass builder or simply eating more. I recommend a mass builder because you can supplement your daily caloric intake with 1250+ calories with one serving of a product such as ON Serious Mass (look it up on Amazon).

Other people prefer the GOMAD diet which stands for gallon of milk a day. In milk there are tons of calories and protein to fuel your muscle growth. The only problem is if you're lactose intolerant.

As far as your gym routine goes, do a complete full body workout. Lots of compound/mult-joint exercise and lift heavy.

With these tips you should put on some muscle.

Two things:
1. Go for a girl you like.
2. Don't expect for a princess to be with you if you aren't a prince either.
So either you step up or you settle for less. That ain't no rocket science.

3 day split or full body workout 3 times a week?

I can share with you my 2 routines (chest and arms one day, back and shoulders another, so you need to hit the gym at least twice a week) if you want. They worked for me and my friends...
Please do.
This is strength training, so you should be doing 8-10 reps in each set, 3 sets an excersice. On the 7/8/9th rep you should be struggling, working to failure. If you can lift more than 10 times a set, up the weight. Doing only 6 reps on the last set isn't a big problem either.

Chest and Arms:
dungbell chest press/ bench press
inclined chest press/ bench press
flys
isolation bicep curl (dungbells)
tricep kick backs
bicep curl (bar, standing up)
tricep pull downs

Back and Shoulders:
pull up, wide grip
pull up, close grip
shoulder raises (sides and front, all in one set)
Bent over one armed row
row (machine)
shoulder shrugs
lat pull downs (wide grip)
shoulder press

You need to do each routine at least once a weeks. If you go to the gym 3 or more times a week, just alternate routines each time. Hope this helps.

Edit: And get a tub of whey protien. Drink a shake everyday, 30 mins before a work out.

eat six times a day and work out 90 minutes a day (2 days for chest, 2 days for biceps & triceps, 2 days for back and 1 day for legs)

Go get them muscles if you want them.

Also, clean yourself...groom yourself.

Also groom your confidence. Its not the size of the dog...but the heart of the dog. Look at T.I. he's just 145

This is like fat people saying "I can't get skinny", and if you ever check up on them at home they're on the couch, guess what; sitting there wouln't magically transform you, you have to do some hard work.

I work out 2 days a week for a hour and a 1/2 each and am very happy with my body; I'm still considered skinny but It's basically all muscle (I'm told I have a 6-pack, but I can't see it personally)

I'm nerdy as hell (very white, skinny, glasses ect.) and used to talk to hb10's everyday in school; not because of my looks, but solely based on my personality

My work out is about 25 jumping jacks, around 20-40 push up's, 30-100 sit ups (don't ask lol), some stretching and then just generally messing around (lunges, mad russians, biceps, triceps, obliques, abs)

Just think about what you want to be more trimmed/look better - better abs like a 6-pack? do sit ups, mad russians, lying twists ect.
Better biceps? barbell curls, push ups, deadlifts, benchpress
Pectorals? (chest) rowing machine, weights in each hand and rotate them in circles spread out shoulder height, push ups with your arms about 1 1/2 times further than your shoulders

That's off the top of my head, also I would agree with others that you try muscle building powders ect, they wouln't taste good (at all...) but In my experience they work (I'm currently using whey protein body mass powder)

*added note* also know your recovery period, the reason you don't work out everyday is because your body would crash and fail; for instance you can work out your abs every single day, it's a very advanced muscle system that repairs in one night - but your biceps need about 3-4 days to recover, so make sure you plan accordingly

I was actually so skinny I had a 6 pack naturally.

I agree though. I always thought "can't gain weight" etc. I told everyone I couldn't gain it and I thought I had some condition. It's just eating more, lifting and sticking to it.

I bought these appetite stimulants and now I consume around 3000 calories a day BEFORE I have my 1000 calorie protein shake (which I have once a day or twice on gym days). So yes, I'm consuming 4000-5000kcal and thanks to these stimulants I never feel bloated and my digestion is good.

Overall advice to OP: buy appetite stimulants and as long as you take them daily, the chore of remembering to eat and then trying to shove it in disappears. I'm gaining about 1kg a week, maybe more. That is if you actually want to gain weight, if you want to sit and moan like I did thinking I had some illness then just ignore this.

I have pictures of me 3 weeks ago when I started all this and pictures of me now. Noticeable difference.

Appetite stims vs muscle powder. Appetite pill will make you fatter, not more muscular remember that, and a 6 pack is a bulge of muscles in your abs, not your ribs or stomach poking through

Lol of course it won't. If you eat properly with appetite stimulants you won't get fat as long as you lift. Muscle powder doesn't make you muscular either. It's all in the lifting as long as you eat the right stuff. Appetite stimulants or not, eat healthy and lift and you won't be fat.

This is a good thread, thank you guys! I also face the same problem being skinny, but I hit the gym everyday, and I'm seeing results.

I also need to add you can't really "stop" working out - it will really go away
about 3 years ago I stopped working out for 2 months straight, and It ALL went to my stomach and most of my muscle went away; have never stopped since lol
And not that I'm a expert or anything; but appetite stimulants make you hungrier as far as I know, and if you're a bad eater in the first place you'll eat more of what? cake, donuts; junk food, they don't help you gain muscle unless you have massive self control
Muscle powders ect. have special ingredients that help you recover from a workout, which means you have to workout in the first place - and there's more motivation

I was expanding, you can't tell people "exercise and eat right and you'll be good" because the most obvious answer is "no shit"
Also that's the difference between the two, you need more responsibility with appetites (and buying all that extra food after wouln't help either) - if it's the only thing you can do or it's been working for you then keep doing it, you don't need to change it's only a personal suggestion

If you're skinny, you need to dress in a way that accentuates your leanness. You can still convey a sexuality and look good.

If you're thin I would say go for a more metrosexual and slightly outlandish way of dressing. Because wearing stuff that would look good on a muscular and athletic person can easily make you look like a cyber nerd in ill fitting clothing and it will make you look unhealthier and even skinnier.

You might hate the idea, but I am lean and I wear tight jeans, v-neck t-shirts and accessorize with necklaces, rings and even scarves. It's all about the self confidence to not give a shit about other people judging you on your clothes. Don't go for an ill fitting polo top and baggy jeans.

In the UK there is a comedian called Noel Fielding, he's quite skinny and not even slightly athletic and yet there are thousands of women who are practically OBSESSED with him. But take away his fame and his dress sense is going to have him catching every eye in any given room.

I'm skinny and there is no way in hell I would dress like this, sorry. Scarves? Rings? Maybe a v-neck shirt, but I live in a rowdy party town no way am I gonna be caught dead looking like a girl, sorry. Maybe someone can offer skinny clothing tips for the red blooded male? Then again, your UK right? Well, that makes sense. Here in Fl, you would be a laughing stock.
