than i usually introduce myself and she tells me her name,

the problem is, i dont frickin know what to say after that... theres just like a bit of a silence... i can always pretend that i need to go and just take her phone number, but i dont know how to develop the conversation with a girl i just met after i introduced myself...

If you choose to use as direct language as 'to tell you the truth i dont care, i just wanted to meet you', you should also progress in that way, for example by immediately asking for her number. I'd come off as strange or at least unusual if u started talking about the environment an that 2 girls fighting outside blabla etc.
I'm not saying being direct is the best you can do, but if u choose to use it, stick to it.

However, my opinion is that it is better to be less direct (for sure when opening and in the first minutes) and first comfort her etc. And it's also much easier to keep the conversation running that way because there is a huge variety of subjects you could talk about.
