Gentlemen,

Let me start by saying that I'm 28 years of age (and i have passed for 23 or younger when I shave).

Currently, I'm trying to work on my day game (Mostly coffee shops, malls, etc) and am having a strange sticking point where I hesitate to speak to girls because I fear they are under 18. Where i live, it's getting very hard to tell the difference between someone who is 16 and someone who is 24.

Additionally, I think this fear developed when i was in Cancun at a Karaoke bar when I walked over to a set (2 girls) and started flirting up a storm with one of them. At the very youngest, I thought she was 22 and it turns out she was 18 and her parents joined the tabled shortly after I sat down (somewhat awkward, ha!).

Anyway, to get to the point:
1) have you ever hit on a girl thinking she was of age and it turns out she wasn't? how did you handle it?
2) Doesn anyone else feel guilt about the possibilty of hitting on an under-age girl (or feeling like a perv)?
3) How do you cope with the guilt (if experienced)?
4) For older guys that hit on girls MUCH younger than them (but still legal): how do the girls normally respond?

I realize that my post is "all over the place" but I tend to think that younger girls are more fun and they seem to like me when the real "me" comes out. Lately, that's difficult as I get a different kind of approach anxiety from this "complex" and can't even get in the batters box.

Just ask or work it in playfully at the beginning.

"Oh my God, you girls are just babies!"

Then don't believe them and have them "prove it" by bringing out the I.D.s

One of my friends takes them to someplace where they will get carded like a bar or a hookah place if it's during the day.

This happens all the time. I've hit on girls as young as 15 without realising! If they look young, I just ask them in a joking way. I've said "hold on a sec - I don't wanna go to prison again, how old are you?" I find a lot of the time younger girls care a lot about age, so they'll often ask YOU anyway. It's not a problem - the important thing is to APPROACH and find out later, don't hold yourself back out of an irrational fear. There's nothing illegal about just TALKING to a 16 year old anyway!

this also happened to me when i tried to run direct beach game. I ended up hitting on a 15 yo when i thought she was around 18-19 (Im 21). after she said how old she was i immediately stopped hitting on her and ejected. I do this because I am no longer interested in that girl. i did have a bit of a guilty feeling afterwards

but the only way you are gonna know how old they are is if you talk to them. i also have had girls look younger but turn out to be older than what thought too.

Anyways they call them jailbait for a reason, some girls look older than they are not you fault bro

I would not feel guilty when it's okay with the law.

Before kissing or so you can check the ID. like the mentioned method before or just ask "I want to see one of your older pictures" or anything like that and look at her IDs. Or add them on facebook for a day2 and check their age there. (also girls get older, add them for later!!) Or ask questions that give away the age.

I once texted a girl but stopped because she seemed like 15 or so (from her looks). Then I made my mind up just texted her "btw how old are you again?". She said 21 (and it was the truth, as I later found out). So it's really hard to tell.

I once got talking to a girl on holidays. I wasnt flirting, just chatting. I met her and her friend at the bar in the hotel. She was drinking rum and coke so I thought nothing of it... Turns out she was 15! Opps.

Anyway, if this is a serious sticking point for you why not invent a lil routine that revolves aroune age. Star signs are an easy way to bring it up. You could also try the whole 'year of the...' in the chinese calendar.
