I always ask HBs "what makes you more than just a pretty face in the crowd?" and after they qualify themselves, I don't really know what to say after that.

Let me give you an example:

Ethan: So tell me about yourself. What makes you more than just a pretty face in the crowd?

HB: umm...well...i (names off good character qualities), i swallow, etc.

Ethan: oh. sweet.

I'm not sure whether to act impressed or act like i dont care or what. Somebody gimme a hand here?

Well thats where you try to connect to the girl for instance.
Me: You are beautiful, but beauty is common. What makes you different than all the rest of the pretty faces out there?
HB: Umm... (Random qualities)
Option #1
Me: Oh no way me to. (Random quality)
HB: Really!
Me:(rabble about the quality)
HB: (listening/ agreeing of your approval)
Option #1A
Me:You know you remind me of my high school crush and now I am so nervous i can't even talk to you know.(back turn and wait for her to restart convo or if it takes to long you start the convo)
Me: Yea (routine if you got something that goes along with it)
(Dont go to far with the approval factor or else look like a kiss ass.)
Option #1B
Me: (routine)
Option #2 (if she does not say anything interesting)
Me: Wow... I see you all you are is just a pretty face(with a smile)
HB: Thats not true(defend herself)(cut her off at some point if it seems to go bad)
Me: You know you remind me of(routine)
Option #3
Me: Thats nice(slightly sarcastic) (then back turn or act disinterested)
Me: (Then into a routine)
These are just a couple of ideas of the top of my head all depends on what type of game you like to play, but these should work for you. Hope they help.
