In any situation that I am nervous about I like to focus on the positive. But its also good to plan for the worst and my reaction to it, so that I feel prepared. So I always have all sorts of biting things to say or do if a chick turns on me. For example, if in a worse case they make fun of you, "you two really don't turn me on anyhow".
