Alright I broke up with my girl about two months ago and I'm getting back into the game, going on a couple of dates but nothing too serious. Anyways, about a month ago I was working up at the service desk and this girl I have had my eye on for a while was scheduled to cover a lunch and watch the door.
She started the conversation with me and we talked the whole hour she had to cover the door. She took notice and started showing more interest once one of my girl friends who works up there came up to me and hugged me. I was talking to both of them and told my friend that my birthday was comin up and I had to work. The girl asked if my birthday was coming up soon and offered to make me a cake. I talked with her a bit more, made her laugh and smile.
My manager came up at the end of the hour and told her to take break, she headed to the back about 5 steps and then turned around and talked to me about five minutes more before taking off.. She said she would give me my cake Saturday (the day after my birthday, said she didn't work that day but she'd bring it to me), I smiled and said "alright, you've raised my expectations on your baking ability, hope you can live up to it." it made her laugh and I tried askin her for her number and she turned me down, why I don't know I thought everything was going good.
Anyways we didn't have another shift together til Sunday, I saw her coming up to the front and smiled at her and she didn't acknowledge me so I thought I messed up. As a result I don't talk to her when I pass, or if my friend is passing I'll say whats up and get back to my business without acknowledging her because I figured 'she doesn't wanna talk to me anymore and I'm not going to lower my status by chasing her'.. Thing is I see her sparingly (1-2 a week, if that) and I want to ask her out, question is how would I go about doing that after everything that's happened?
