I used to think I had poor phone/text game. But now I think it might be more about developing enough attraction/comfort to get a solid number. Since moving back to my hometown (a big city), it's been the same story over and over: Initiate -> push/pull for hours -> number close -> No reply/flaking.

I spent 4 years in four different small cities and this wasn't an issue because:
1) I saw the same people over and over. This gave me time to build comfort with them.
2) Slower pace lifestyle meant that all the shop/pubs/club staff + regulars all knew me. Lots of social proof.
3) I was a foreigner so they were curious about me from the start.

Now I live in a big city. It's hard because:
1) I usually have 2-3 hours max to build enough attraction/comfort for a solid number. You never just run into the same person again.
2) Very little social proof. Staff hardly recognise me because they see millions of people per day. Even friends can hardly give me social proof as they hardly have time to go out.
3) I'm a local so they are not automatically curious about me. From my consistent past successes I don't think I have issues with confidence/kino/sexualisation but rather the PACE of my attraction. I push-pull a lot with teases but it's not enough within 2 hours. How do you guys consistently get solid number closes that fast?

Play the numbers game with more aggression.

As in, 9 flakey phone numbers for every 1 solid phone number.
