ME: Quick question, do u know how to get into the main building

HB1:yeah we're besties why?
ME:this is kinda weird, its just that i noticed you mirror each others expressions
HB1:*smiles* really?
HB2:*smiles*
ME:you're both doing it now actually
*They then laughed*
I could tell they were hooked at this point, its just that I had no idea what to do or say next so i bailed and said goodbye.
What was i supposed to do next?
What should i have said or done to result in at LEAST a number close?
