Okay I am talking to a girl who I went to high school with, haven't seen her in a year but I texted her and we arranged to go out this Wednesday a few weeks ago. I texted her today to remind her it went like this:

Me: I know your excited to see me Wednesday!

Her: Whaaaaat?!

Me: Its Mike

Her: Oh I didn't put your last name with Mike and thought you were Mike ****** hahaha

Me: Cant say I've heard of him. You must be great with cell phones ha(Negged her)

Her: I have the worst luck with phones. I'm thankful i haven't messed this one up yet

Me: Thats unfortunate. I get out of class at 3, so I can pick you up around 4
(I try not to keep text convo's too long)

*she takes an hour to respond*

Her: I have a doctors apt Wednesday at 4.

I have a gut feeling that she is trying to flake, and I don't want to come off as needy. How should I approach this? Sooner is much better than later**

In case you have comfortable rapport with her and know where she would be at 4.
I would just show up to take her to the doctors place (dates dont always have to be dine n wine... it could be many more)

Otherwise, maybe send some flirtatious+cockyFunny text like :

"Well, last time i saw the doctor in [HER AREA] he advised me to go on a date immediately after the appointment... i think thats a prevalent advice among doctors in [HER AREA] "

OR

"I read in an article that meeting high school friends after doctors appointment helps in speedy recovery. "

OR something funny/cocky/persistance similar which does not decrease your value much but shows to her that you passed her shit test and are not just fooling around with her.
Persistance sometimes pays off well, i believe.

And make sure you respond her back after a little more than what she took to respond.
