I'd go with that. If she is attracted to you, and she should be, she'll accept it. You're superior in mind because you can admit to being just another guy and you can also command a social situation with confidence. You're also far more alpha because you don't need to justify yourself to her or anyone else, if you'd answered with something positive then you'd miss out on all of this.
