Needless to say, before I started reading and listening to everything I could get my mouse on the art of the pick-up, i was horrible with chicks. Now I feel more confident whenever I approach girls I have never met, I recently went on a cruise with only my dad. I approached chicks with confidence and became the funny leader, and it lead to a k-close eventually. However whenever I hang out with my guy friends and new girls, i don't feel the same confidence and quite frankly i flounder and am just as bad as before. Also whenever im around girls i already know and have met, I don't feel confident because of the first impression. I came here to ask, why around my friends, (also AFC's), I throw away what I've learned? And why do I assume that the first impressions ive made in the past will be too much to overcome? And most importantly what's the solution?

I think that around your dad and by yourself you can easily fit the role of a confident alpha male but when it comes to your friends and girls you have already been around you could go back to old tendencies due to the fact you are used to acting that way around them, I would personally try and impress my male mates by picking up girls with ease in front of them, also Id probably try hitting on one of your female friends that way you can outshine the other guys aswell as gain a good confidence boost.
