i find that my biggest sticking point is actually moveing my ass towards them, and haveing something canned to say. i like the jelous ex girlfriend one as i can see that girls will think they know about it. what should i do, or what are your favourite openers?

Canned openers are excellent in situations where you don't quite know what to say to get the ball rolling. You'll notice that the more you start to open, the less and less you'll be using canned openers. I personally love using situational openers because it allows be to jump right into convo and start building rapport.

"I honestly dont give a shit as to who lies more..men or women. But I do Love that cute dress you're wearing. Hey my names squarelife you guys look fun, whats up!?!?!"

Not a very high risk approach there, but it allows me to jump right into what I have to say without having to go through transitions.

Following your opener with a good story is always pretty good. Gets them laughing and eases the tension ( laughter is proven to actually ease tension)
