My game isn't too bad but at work I'm not having much joy!

I work in a place that's only 20% female. Obviously the guys with higher statutes and positions get more attention than someone like me who's relatively quite low down on the food chain.

The 'currency' of being the alpha where I work is status i.e. Are you a manager, do you have a team working for you, salary, acknowledgement by other managers etc. I totally understand that however I don't have any of these things. I'm perceived as the slightly cute, friendly but unimportant admin guy in the grand scheme of things.

The frustrating thing is that I could out-alpha most of these guys if I just met them in a bar with some girls cos we're all on a level playing field. However at work these pricks have a head start on me and it's very hard to turn it round in the eyes of these career girls.

Any tips on how to out-alpha guys that are higher up in the work place hierarchy and thus have more social proof than yourself?

What are you trying to accomplish at work? Are you wanting to pick up your co-workers or come off as alpha for a promotion?

I HAD a similar problem at the gym I go to. All of the guys are friends and kind of clique-ish. It would take me a while to describe this dynamic but let's just say its not like normal gyms and sounds similar to your work place. I don't talk much while I'm there. I come in, get my shit done and get out. I saw a group of the gym girls out at a bar last weekend. They were floored by my personality! I project the complete opposite of who I am while I'm at the gym. I can be pretty entertaining. I like to be the center of attention yet I like to keep the conversation a little risque and sexual. So when they finally met ME they were really into me.

If you're having good results outside of work then why do you care about the few single girls at your workplace? I would ignore them. If you see them out then lay it on them and they'll be shocked. They'll start talking and word will spread that you're a cool mother fucker. The ratio sounds bad anyway. I hate this b/c a girl that's HB6 is probably getting treated like a HB9. Fuck that! I'm not gonna treat the girl with a thick ass like she's a model just b/c she's "office hot."

Hey - no I'm definitely not after a promotion!

Basically I want to improve ALL aspects of my game and "work game" is an interesting challenge. Particularly when it's so full of AMOGs and the women already have preconceived ideas about the guys.

2 weeks ago I was chatting to this "work HB7" when one of these AMOG managers came along when the girl just ignored me in a flash and started talking to him. The funny thing is in a club, if I was talking to a real HB7, I know the same guy wouldn't of got a look in!

I'm not pissed off about it but clearly this is a bit of a sticking point for me so am interested in how to overcome this as part of improving my game all round

I forgot to mention, you can always try to out dress your coworkers. It will show your confidence and the higher ups will take notice along with the women.

Maybe you're not the type to be the first person to try something new but I'm telling you it works. The tips do not cover fads rather current style trends. Its funny, since I've been looking at the GQ site I've been about 3 weeks ahead of the current trends.
