subject shifting

hi everydoby.
i keep getting stuck at the same point at tables.

after i opened - almost every time with a "problem which needs girly advice", and negged during the story (most times about the food or drinks on the table) i get stucked. they gave me thair opinion obout the question, now what?

how do i subject shifting them to another subject (i find it hard to get to my magic DHV because it has nothing to do with my opening question)

because i can't get away from the "opening subject" i can't get to a point that number close will be possible.

what to do?
