Anyone else had this problem? For example, when I was out last weekend I opened these two girls sitting down with the "Drug dealer opener", but one of them clearly thought they would be a smart-ass and say "Yes" instead of the expected "No" to the question "Do I look like a drug dealer?" I didn't really know what to say, but plowed through the routine, then excused myself because I could see I wasn't getting anywhere.

At the same place, on the same place actually, after opening a seated two-set and talking with them for a bit (with a slightly outgoing-yet-AFC friend of mine), I tried to play the five-questions game with one of them, but she kept objecting and asking why, basically being difficulty. I even called her out on that and negged a little, but it didn't seem to make much difference. And by this point I could've sworn I'd hooked and gotten past any shields. Shortly thereafter they excused themselves and left.

Maybe I'm just not good at passing tests? When someone isn't playing along with your frame, is there still any way to turn this around in your favour, or simply not worry about it and move on?

It seems as if these sets had been opened before with this kind of canned material and that's the reason you weren't getting anywhere. If you post the entire conversation, from what you remember of it that is, we might have a better feel of what went wrong for you.

It happens more than you think! I dunno if you ever listened to Brad P. or Sinn, their favorite quote is: "BLOW ME OR BLOW ME OUT!" do you get? The mentality is if you sarge 10 girls with the same material at least one will eat up everything and you will have sex with her, it's not the routine's fault neither it is your (maybe sometimes, depending on your calibration). I bet you have noticed that sometimes girls hook really fast other times they don't. With this you are basically screening the girl. For example my game style is like Russel Brand, Jack Sparrow - crazy, really sexual, touchy, really metro. So if she is not into it, I don't really wanna stick around because I wouldn't be myself. You can attract any girl but you will always want that girl that understands you..... Because of this I would recommend you defining your strength and your personality and use routines based on that, don't use every routine, use the ones you have the most fun and do them.

Like you did 'Do I look like a drug dealer" this is fun to you and if the girl doesn't get the joke or doesn't play along, let me ask you, do you really wanna keep talking to her knowing she probably wouldn't get the next thing you say.

Here is the most important part of everything I wrote: "You can plow the girl to bed, create emotions, but you won't have fun and will be bored..."

Also I wrote in a previous post why something may not work it wasn't routines it was C&F but I think the same roules apply to both:
I remember I read somewhere that MM works best on 9s and 10s, same as club girl, etc....
Just NO, even if they did the chance is like zero to none.... And again even if they did, if your calibration is good, they wouldn't even notice it or even if they did they would still play along because your calibration is good...
