I work as a touring musician, and while on the road I've had some pretty crazy stuff happen to me, but I don't know how to turn the stories into DHV routines. They are all non-sequitur, some of them include:

-Getting pulled over for going the wrong way on a one way street while driving without a license and talking my way out of it.
-Trying to jump start a car and having the battery catch fire.
-Using a video camera and a photographers business card I found to get myself backstage at a huge music festival.
-Being on tour in Vegas and seeing a girl puke in the street, a man fall through a fence, and having a bottle thrown from a window at the Excalibur land in between my feet as I was walking.

I have a feeling any or all of these stories would make good DHV stories, I just don't know where to put the spikes.

I'm not sure how these relate to being:

A leader of men
A protector of loved ones
Pre-Selection by women
Non-Needyness
Being Unaffected

Maybe you are confused as to what a DHV is exactly. Although these sound like good stories it doesn't necessarily make you more attractive to women.

It won't help at all saying that to a girl. Those are just stuff i will talk about with my close friends. Say that to a girl and she will just think you are weird.

The point of dhving is to make yourself look better not to just simply say stories.

But top marks for determination :D

Correct.

Use different stories. Period.

It is so easy. You have to lie a little bit usually. Mention how you went into the concert with your girlfriend and mention that you managed to weasel her in too (preselection + protection of loved ones).

For the car fire, say that when it lit up, your friends rushed in to help you, but you said you got it. You grabbed a bucket of water near by and put it out (friends want to help you + leader of men).

I'm assuming you left out the funny or entertaining bits of those stories. You can get away with them as is if you use them in context; otherwise, you need better stories. (ie, someone starts talking about a concert they want to go to but don't have tickets for)

And remember, for the most part, it's not what you say, it's how you say it.

I have a list of conversation pieces and interactive routines that I keep on a diagram. For each piece, draw a square, write the title at the top. Don't write out the whole piece or even a summary of it, you know them already and the title will be enough for you to identify it.

In the square under the title, write down a list of keywords that are associated with that story. Do that for all of your stories and you'll find some common keywords. Draw connecting lines between boxes with common keywords.

Then you can practice segueing from one routine/convo piece to the next. The interactive routines should be your destination since they probably have kino escalation built in.

Include your openers in the diagram too. That way, you should have a mental map leading from opener through to kino-escalation routines.
