I think I go for #s too quickly, but I'm always afraid of losing my target if I don't. I open really well, but once I get through my canned material, I get some IoIs but I never know where else to go with things.

Can someone help me out? I've honestly never failed a # close that I've tried, but I generally can't get past that point.

Here's how my pick ups generally go. I'm hoping someone can help me out here with some advice.

Then I never hear from her again. I know I'm missing things in between my opener and my close. I don't exactly know what it is, or how I should do it!

Damn, I have similar problem to this day. Up to last night when I was sarging, I approached a target and worked my stuff and had her going but it seemed rather briefly. i noticed she was roccing out and telegraphing her desire to leave the set(a 2 set), so in turn that shit made me feel a sense of urgency to go after the # close right away even though I didnt get to build comfoft nor real attraction. The dreaded outcome was that she refused to give me her frigging number(lol)!!!

Crush- the key is that you probably need to stick in the set for a couple of minutes longer, to build attraction. Other than that, when you say "you want me to give you a call when I do?" No, no, no... tell her that you're going to call or bounce with her to that other location. The goal is not the number close. She should be having so much fun with you that she wants to have see you again to have fun. The number close is good and all, but you should be bantering with her and she should basically be tripping over herself to give you her number, or make plans to see you again. When you do call, you need to bring her back to the place that she was, in the bar. That's why you could give her a nickname, a funny one... so that when you talk to her later, the feelings of fun and excitement that are anchored with that name are brought right back.
