| since I play the illusionist angle, most of them link to that in a way. Those are DHV stories my wings/pivots tell about me:
Accomplishment intro (or how we met):
'Ace here was doing some street magic and he had quite a crowd gathered around him. Me and my friends were down on our way to ...., but it was so gripping we decided to stay and watch him do some amazing stuff. Show them that coin trick!'
Once we're locked in:
'We were at this bar called Jewel, and it was some girls birthday. He just came up and started doing a bunch of tricks for the group, one of them was this really cool visual effect that involves a lot of fire. After he was done, this suave looking guy in a suit comes up to us and starts talking about performing. Turned out he was a West End actor, and after about five minutes of conversation he said "You guys are real cool, why don't you join me and my friends in the VIP lounge, it's my 30th birthday party". So we went up and spent the night watching him do magic for all those actors and other hotshots... It was awesome!'
'You know, Ace is a really busy guy, he is always involved in something - he dances salsa, rock-climbing, performs magic in restaurants, he's doing a degree at the same time... But one time my little niece came to visit, and I had to go somewhere because of an emergency (make something up). So I asked him to look after her for a few hours, he always looks out for me so he babysat my niece for a bit. She wouldn't shut up about him afterwards! He was just showing her magic, and now she does a couple tricks herself! Man, she still wants you to come to her birthday, she'd absolutely love it if you turned up!'
Two generic ones which can be used for any of us:
'He used to date this girl who looked exactly like Jennifer Aniston! It was really funny, whenever we'd go out with them, she would always get approached by guys begging for an autograph...' - credit: Jimmy Jambone
'Remember that time when a girl came up to you that time we were in (insert cool location, e.g. Paris) and asked if you ever did any modelling work? It was really funny, we couldn't understand her because she spoke ...... Shame you had to turn it down' (needs a polish - ideas?) - Diamond and I came up with that one last night.
If any of you come up with a way to make them better (add more 'spikes'), it would be much appreciated.
