After talking with this girl for awhile, she ends up telling me she likes someone else. I limit contact with her, and she tells me she misses me in a text. How should I respond?

she was trying to make you jealous, pretend like she never said anything, don't react at all.

edit: after reading the below post, that could be very true too... but i've had girls tell me they've liked other guys before when we started dating and i ignored it and still landed them.

She was probably using your attraction to her as a way to boost her ego. Without you there to boost her ego, she feels weaker and lesser. This doesn't mean that she likes you or wants to be with you. She just feels better by knowing you want her. You take that away and she feels bad.

I say drop her and move on. If she turned you down, then there is no future. Get over her and move on to some other woman who is much more deserving of you.

You deserve a woman who wants you, who appreciates you, and understands how great you are.

You don't need to be chasing someone who already says she doesn't want to be with you. Just move on.
