Im new to the forum so take it easy on me ;)

Right here goes..........

So I was out the other night with a group of friends and some people I was introduced to for the first time (inclusing the girl in question) having dinner and drinks for a friends birthday.

All through dinner I was talking to this girl from one end of the table to the other sort of joking around. we all moved on to a bar and we got talking for quite a while outside before we were interrupted. since that point we made physical contact quite often (hugs etc).

we moved onto a club next and while walking we got seperated from the group and talked for ages before realising we were lost and walked back with arms round each other. upon arriving at the club I met some other friends who were also celebrating a birthday and there was a lot of hugs between friends etc and joking around, all this time she was looking over at me as I was away from the main group for quite a while. She came over and offered asked if I would like a drink so got a drink by the bar and went for a smoke on the roof terrace with a couple of other friends, a guy tried to chat her up whilst we were sitting on different sofas but she came over and sat on my lap instead.

When we went back downstairs to the dancefloor her friend came up to me and said 'if you like her you should tell her' (this wasnt the first time her friend mentioned this, she asked me on numourous occasions if I liked her friend) and whilst they were talking on the dancefloor they kept looking my way like I was the topic of conversation.

About an hour or so later me, the girl and her friend all went upstairs for a smoke and when her friend went back downstairs she said 'ill leave you two up here to snog'. she then sat on my lap and we kissed.

After the club closed we were all waiting outside for cabs etc when she came over and cuddled me whilst we were waiting this lasted about 10 minutes. I made sure they got a cab and went on to an afterparty.

I know this is long guys but bear with me :) heres the confusing bit.........

I added her on facebook and sent her a message the day after asking if they got home safe etc. after a couple of messages I asked if she wanted to meet for a drink midweek but her response was that she has parents evenings during the week (she works as a teacher) and her mum is coming over from canada this week, she didnt suggest another date etc.

Should I pursue of have I got it wrong here???????

Pursue, but don't over do it. It's quite possible that she was legitimately busy. Maybe don't contact her for a day or two, and then ask her to come along with you somewhere. Don't act like you are exclusively asking her out, just say you were going to go to ____ today and thought she might want to come along.

Also, you should have escalated while she was cuddling with you waiting for the cab, you might have gotten her to come over to your place with you.
