| Hello gents let me brief you on my situation. I'm having difficulty with setting up a day two with a HB9. The night ended with me having been thizzed out and her having the spins. So we snuggled up, made-out and passed out. Wake up the next morning and are about to hook up when we hear the other two people staying in the apartment (it was her friend's place) waking up at which point she says, "too bad for you." I joke telling her she's the one who missed out and get punched in the arm for being a smart ass. We check the time and realize I have to go anyway to get ready for work. She asks me for a ride to her place since she doesn't have her car. I drive her back and park at her place, she lays across the seat and starts making out with me again until I pass the hint that time is short by pulling back and smirking. She tells me it's really a shame that I can't come in. She then gives me her number (didn't even need to ask) and tells me that I have to call her if I am going out that night. I bust on her saying she only wants to hang out when I'm drunk so she can take advantage of me (I'd been running this sub-frame since opening) and she laughs and tells me I better not be late for work before leaning in kissing me and saying good bye.
That night I get invited to a bar by a friend of mine who bartends there and I was taking a friend of mine out who'd never hit that venue before. I call her up and ask if she wants to tag along and she says she isn't sure she can because she hasn't made it back to town yet (legitimately she was out of town shopping with a girl from the set she was in the night before, they had come for the friend's birthday). I say that's fine and before I can even set up a freeze out she offers to call as soon as she gets to town. I tell her that sounds good, at this point I've already started to slot her into the flake category and dismiss it assuming I won't even get a call. Work gets out late and as I'm getting ready to hit the bar when, lo and behold the unexpected call arrives as I am right before I am en route to the venue.
HB: Hey, sorry! I thought we were going to be back earlier!
Me: No worries, we're heading out the door here in a minute, care to join us?
HB: I really want to but literally I just got back, I won't be ready in time to make it worth while! That and I'm really worn out but I want to hang out! I could take a nap and you could come over after last call... *giggles*
Me: *laughing* Uh huh sure, I called it this morning! Just want to catch me intoxicated so you can hook up with me!
HB: Oh whatever, really I set my ringer on loud and expect you to call!
Me: Okay, okay I'll hit you up then, enjoy the nap!
After this I dismiss it as either legitimate, in which case I don't really care and imagine she'll be passed out even if I call or she's flaking, in which case she won't answer. I call her after the bar closes and like I thought she didn't answer. So I just shoot her a text teasing her for passing out and offering her an invite to smoke (my friend and some people we had met at the bar were going to my place to blaze) if she's up. No word, and the next morning rolls around. I figure she's just a flake with tact and dismiss it at that. However to my surprise, noon rolls around and she calls to apologize for falling asleep. She asks about my plans for the day and tells me she has to work on a group project for one of her classes but can text me. I say sure and text her thirty minutes or so later when she asks how last night went. After I recount it and tease her more about having fallen asleep and missed out she replies saying she could hang out that night (after the project). I tell her about my room mates having heard us stop by (first night we met) and suggest hanging out by offered to introduce them to her and vice versa while blazing, and ask when she would be free. She replies excitedly that she would be free that night and was game. At this point I've filed her away as a flake but figure it can't hurt to make plans on the off chance she follows through so I ask what time she'd be done and she says at the earliest they would be done at seven. I say that's fine with me joking that I suppose I can squeeze her in the schedule just this once.
There is only one point to be considered about HB9. Not one person but everyone in her set warned me of the same thing the night I met her. She's nice, fun, etc. but a bit of an airhead (sadly the sorority girl stereotype). To the degree that the reason we had stayed with her friend and boyfriend the first night was because her friend literally said, "Sangres is cool, I like him, bring him with us but you leave me EVERY time we go out, it's my birthday so not tonight!" So even by friends she's reportedly a natural flake.
At this point I am curious if there is a viable means of locking in a Day 2 and just looking to brush up on my anti-flake game. I want to give her the benefit of the doubt and assume, like with her friends she is just being a ditz. IME flakes usually set up plans and then don't show, call, etc. and the unfortunate pursuer then fights to gain enough approval to get her to agree to another set of plans (provided she is still even answering him) only to be shut out (usually for good). In this case though she throws out suggestions or offers and I pick one, she reschedules or flakes on the plans and so I freeze out with no intention of bothering with it and she reinitializes contact all on her own and starts from scratch (again without any promotion on my end). I'm just confused by this because again usually if they flake I ditch them and let them flake and that's that just one less number to worry about. Would she pick it back up on her own if she isn't interested? And in either case, what's with the flaking? What's with the IOIs (reinitiating contact, apologizing, working to make day 2 plans when I freeze her out for flaking, laughing every time I bust on her, complementing me, continuing to escalate kino when I pull back) unless she's just really, as her friends suggest, a natural flake? And in either case, just for the sake of my own curiosity and my competitive nature how would you gents go about closing this, if you think it is possible and if you do not, what would you have changed? At this point I just consider it an interesting challenge, at worst I brush up my skills and at best I gain a HB9.
