Ok so this situation is not very typical so I'm not entirely sure how to play it.

About a month ago as I was getting back to my dorm from a foam party at one of the frats (I had no shirt, got lost in the foam some how haha) the desk attendant at my dorm, HB 8.5, stopped me. She asked, "Is this you?" as she held my license, which I had lost about a week ago. I was like, "OMG I love you." Then I said something like, "So is this what you do one Friday nights?" Blah blah, we vibed and I got her number. I called about 3 days later, and she didn't pick up. I called like another 4 days later and still she didn’t pick up. I thought to myself, oh well, there will be more . I actually would run into her on occasion around campus, and she would give me a big smile and say hello. Me, I'm always late for something, so all I could do was say "Hey" and smile back. But, yesterday I saw her at a party and she asked me to dance. We danced, talked a bit. I said something like: "I almost remember your name. Monica? Rachael? No no, I got it, Chandler!" Cheesy, I know, but it got a laugh. She got to see me game some girls and be lively throughout the party. The second time dancing with her I told her: "You know you're very pretty, but that’s not enough for me." She giggled and responded, "Well I'm a smart one, too." From there:

Newton: "Well I don't know about that. You can't be that smart, I called you and you didn't pick up."
Her: "I have a boyfriend."
Newton: Laughing, "Hey its cool, I'm not interested in him. Besides, you need to slow down; I just want to have coffee with you."
Her: Smiling "Ok well maybe"
Newton: "Well I'll call you on of these days and we'll see how smart you are."
…

So today she friended me on facebook and I'm wondering. Should I ask for a day 2 on facebook? My phone game isn’t that great. I was thinking of saying something like:

Hey Chandler, what's happening dork? So you say there's more to you than looks? Hmmm, I don't believe it. But, somehow I manage to have fun every time I talk to you so perhaps you're not lying. Anyways, you and I are going to have coffee on Tuesday, and discuss, errr, smart people stuffz. Are you a Star Bucks sort of girl, or a Kiva Han chick?

One, what do you think of asking through facebook? Two what do you think of the message?

I am against any kind of interaction on facebook/myspace. I'd rather ask the girl in person, or over the phone. By the way, if you post on her facebook, her bf WILL see it and probably question her about it.

Nah, I ment like a private message on facebook, not her wall.

i would wait personally, but its your call. i would just mention that you still have to hang out, and then call her a few days later to make it acutally happen. good luck either way.

i know people who have made things work over facebook, and that sounds like a legit message you're sending. the only problem i see would be that its so easy for her to ignore it and forget about it, while on the phone its much more direct and personal.

at this point i think its totally up to you...either way would work. i think 1 more phone call and if she doesnt pick up then forget about her completely.

i agree. she sounds fun though . also im not sure if i wouldn't neg her too much about her being stupid or whatever, cause she might get annoyed with it. but at the same time it did seem to work nicely

I know doc love's book recomends against it, but i usually tell the girl (not ask) we are going out the next day....wether this is a girl i just met or one i know for a while.

I think the key here is that you arent asking, you are telling her. Cocky definatly. I wouldnt use this unless you ae relativly sure she will come out with u.

Its worked for me numberous times, in fact i used it to get a date that im going on later this evening.
