For fun me and my buddy each created a profile on a dating site. Last night I messaged a girl and she replied this morning. I then sent her another message saying how she seems fun and that we should meet up, then giving her my phone number and telling her to text me. Not even 5 minutes after I sent that message I receive a text from her saying:

HB: "Hey it's (so and so) from (somesite) u get straight to da point eh lol"

Then I replied about 2 hours later (I was busy at work)

Me: "Yeah exactly lol, I figured we should save the small talk for later"

I haven't received a response from her yet. I figure either she misinterpreted my text or is just waiting for me to initiate a meet up. At this point I'm planning on doing nothing until Sunday when I will text her saying that I'm going shopping Monday afternoon and she should come along.

What do you guys think?

Well the last message you sent her wasn't very open ended. How is she to respond to it without seeming needy?

Then again she did seem pretty needy by replying straight away, make sure this girl isn't a 50 year old posting photos from god knows what year.

Call her up and plan something. She liked that you were straight to the point, so get straight to the point and make plans.

Any thoughts as how to proceed?

I'm thinking about calling her tomorrow to talk and set up a meet for coffee. Or should I continue texting her as she might not answer my phone when I call?

If she isn't going to answer her phone when you call, she wouldn't be replying to your texts.
I reckon just call her.

Yeah you should be calling her and blowing her away with your awesome personality, not sending texts.

I think she may be pulling back a bit cause she misinterpreted your message, but if you can talk to her you can swing that around easy by showing her what kind of person you are, with your voice.
