So I got this girl's number after we talked during the semester and I sent her a simple text assumming she already kinda knows me so there was no need for an opener (big mistake) and she didn't respond. Probably was busy studing but still shows she was not interested enough to respond....

text was: "hi xxxx,how are you?"

its been 1 day and still no response. Have not tried to contact her again since.
What should I do know? Any funny text message calling her out like: "did someone cut your fingers?" or something..or should I call another day?

I don't really have too much time to wait since she leaves to another city in january 12 and will return in may.

*"How are you" is a boring text. Don't send boring texts.

*Calling her out will just show her that she got to you, and that's lame. You aren't supposed to care that much.

Come up with something interesting and/or funny to text on Sunday night - the more specific to the two of you it is, the better, but since it's a text you can come up with something, sleep on it, and send it later if it still sounds good. It's one thing to accidentally say something stupid, but with a text there's no rush so there's no excuse for sending something you'll regret. If you're good on the phone that might be a better option.

I hate texting and would much rather call her
way better on the phone...but im afraid if she doesn't pick up
