This is a bit long winded but I really appreciate if you read it. I wrote another topic on here recently but didn't get any advice, not sure why. But as I say, I really value any advice. The following is not neccesarily USEFUL waffle..but it just sets the background of things. Here goes.

Basically there's a girl I've known for about 5 years now. We went to school together. 5 years ago when we were young (16,18) we went on one date. It was one small coffee and nothing came of it. I was totally in the wrong zone of how to even go about this whole phenomena of women, so as a result, it sort of died out.

So, 5 years on. I'm a bit more grown up as is she. I'm nearing 22 and she is nearing 20. I study down south, she studys up north. Fact. My only means of communicating with this girl is through internet, phone, text and whatever else.

The last time I saw her was at a new years party. She passed out sorta quick so didn't really see much of her.

I've been talking to her on Fbk on and off recently, every 2 weeks or so since NYE. She's kinda flirty but at the time had a boyfriend. Flirting is pretty much her vocabulary I think. Now however, I notice she is single again. One evening I sent her an offline message asking how something went that she did. No reply. I waited 2 weeks to think of what to do. So 2 weeks pass. And this occurs

Me: Stop playing hard to get, it's not working.
Her: you know me too well ; )
Me: Like an open book. Do you have SPAM? It's sort of easier to annoy you on there, Facebook is long.
Her: I don't I'm afraid. I'm very old school you see.
Me: You seriously need to get with it..Cool we'll text it instead then. Text buds. Number?
Her: -Gives number over-

So that's to now. Some of the stuff I said there may seem a bit cocky? Don't know.

My issue

How long should I wait to text her?
How should I build on this? Can anyone link me to any specific long distance texting advice?
How was my approach with her with that convo I supplied (which was 2 weeks after she didn't respond to my previous message)?

I realise this girl is far away and the likelihood of a relationship is slim - in fact I don't even think it'll happen. But I want to build a bond with her all the same.

Any feedback, and general advice is really appreciated. I want to bag this girl one way or another.

Sparking interest is incredibly hard when it starts off long distance. Basically you have to convey attraction through your texts. On the bright side? Your fbk looks decent "text buds?" <-- that's a bit weak. But that being said its decent game. Chances are (assuming she's attractive) - she has other guys actively pursuing her, so you have to distinguish yourself from them. How? I would aim to send her funny texts. My favourite opener is "Im luring girls to my house with candy, what do you prefer, Skittles or M&M's) - if you want to see some of my text game, look on my "recent posts" - I believe it was from August 2012 under "Experienced PUA help only" it's just light banter. Ill get the link and post.

Anyways long story short on that post, the girl had a boyfriend, who I hated. I ended up getting a BJ in her bfs truck, I shit you not.

Thanks for your feedback I'll check our some of your posts thanks. Yeah I thought the 'text buds' thing was a bit shit actually, I regret putting that in but moreover I'm so happy that she replied kinda positively to my line line about being hard to get.
