So for those of you that don't know Read Receipts are something that can be turned off and on when two iPhones text each other. If you have the read receipt option turned on the person you are talking to will be able to see the exact moment that you read their message.

I was pondering if turning this on on purpose could be helpful. This way you could show disinterest by looking at the message but not replying.

If anyone has any thoughts or tests for this theory post it below.
